rePEAR Juice - Home Remedy for constipation

Constipation?

Here’s a home remedy rePEAR juice with Pear, prunes and Lilo Premium Purple Sweet Potato Powder for babies 6 months and above!

Ingredients:
1 ripe pear (peeled, cored, and chopped)
1–2 dried prunes (pitted)
½ tsp Lilo Premium Purple Sweet Potato Powder
300ml water (or more if needed)

👩🍳 Instructions:

1. Soften the prunes:
Place prunes in a small bowl and soak in warm water for about 10–15 minutes to soften.

2. Cook the pear:
In a small saucepan, add chopped pear and a splash of water.
Simmer on low heat for 5–7 minutes, until soft.

3. Blend:
Add softened prunes and cooked pear (with cooking water) to a blender or baby food processor.
Add ½ tsp purple sweet potato powder.
Blend until smooth. Add more water to adjust the consistency.

4. Cool & serve:
Let it cool before serving.
Offer 2-3 tablespoons depending on your baby’s age and appetite.

📝 Tips:
* Storage: Keep leftovers in Mushie Freezer tray and freeze for future use
* Texture: Adjust with more water or breastmilk/formula for younger babies.

* Pears: High in fiber and sorbitol, which softens stools and helps with digestion.
* Prunes: Packed with sorbitol and fiber, they draw water into the intestines for easier bowel movements.
* Purple Sweet Potato: Adds extra fiber to regulate digestion and prevent constipation.
* Water: Keeps stools soft and supports healthy digestion.

⚠️ Disclaimer:
This is a home remedy and not medical advice. Always consult your paediatrician if your baby has ongoing constipation or if you have concerns about introducing new foods.
Only offer this to babies who have already been safely introduced to pear, prunes, and purple sweet potato individually, without any allergic reactions.
