Baby-Friendly Nourishing Huai Shan Soup (8 Months+)
with Red Dates, Lilo Mushroom Powder & Pumpkin Powder
Makes 3-4 Servings
🥣 IngredientsÂ
Huai Shan (Chinese yam) – 200g, peeled and chopped
Carrot – 1 small, peeled and chopped
Red dates – 2 (pitted)
Lilo Mushroom Powder – ½ to 1 tsp
Lilo Pumpkin Powder – ½ to 1 tsp
Water – 500–700ml (to cover the ingredients)
🥄 Instructions:
Prep the ingredients
Peel and slice Huai Shan and carrot into chunksÂ
1. Simmer the soup
In a small pot, bring water to a boil.
Add carrots, Huai Shan, red dates, and optional chicken.
Lower the heat and simmer for 30–40 minutes, until the vegetables are soft
2. Add Lilo powders
When the soup is nearly done, stir in Lilo Mushroom Powder and Lilo Pumpkin Powder.
Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring gently to dissolve the powders
3. Cool and serve
Let the soup cool to a safe temperature before serving in @littlebearnie bowl
You can freeze leftover soup in baby food cubes for later use.
