Baby Taro Mooncake (BLW - 8 months)
A naturally sweet and colorful mooncake made with yam (taro), pumpkin, and Lilo superfood powders β no baking needed!
π§Ύ Ingredients (makes 8-10 small moon cakes)
πΉ Skin:
Yam (Taro) β 250g (peeled and cubed)
Milk (Breastmilk/formula) β 40g
Baby Milk Powder β 85g
Lilo Purple Sweet Potato Powder β 2 tsp
πΈ Filling:
Pumpkin β 150g (peeled and cubed)
Lilo Premium Corn Powder β 1 tsp
π₯£ Instructions
1. Steam yam and pumpkin until soft.
Yam: ~20β25 mins
Pumpkin: ~10β15 mins
2. Prepare the skin dough:
Mash the steamed yam with milk. Sieve.Β
Add milk powder and Lilo Purple Sweet Potato Powder.
Knead into a soft, pliable dough. Add some oil to make it smooth.
3. Make the filling:
Mash the steamed pumpkin until smooth.
Add Lilo Premium Corn Powder and mix well and set aside.Β
4. Assemble the mooncakes:
Take a portion of yam dough and flatten it.
Spoon the pumpkin paste on dough and seal tightly.
Dust a mooncake mold lightly with oil and press the ball in to shape.
5. Done!
Chill in the fridge for a firmer texture or enjoy immediately for a soft, melt-in-mouth bite.
