Baby Chinese Yam Porridge

Baby Nutritious Chinese Yam Porridge (8 Months+)

Makes 2-3 Baby Servings

Ingredients:
Chinese Yam (Huai Shan) – 1 small yam (about 100g), peeled and chopped
Carrot – 1 small, peeled and finely chopped or grated
Quinoa – 1 tablespoons (rinsed)
Rice – 1 tablespoons (rinsed)
Lilo Premium Mushroom Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Lilo Premium White bait Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
500 ML Water 

Instructions:

1. Prep the ingredients:
 Peel and finely chopped the Chinese yam & carrot
 Rinse and wash the quinoa and rice 

2. Cook the rice and quinoa:
In a medium pot, combine the quinoa and rice with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until the quinoa is tender and the rice is cooked through.

3. Add the vegetables:
Add the Chinese yam and carrot, Lilo Premium Mushroom Powder & Lilo Premium White Bait Powder, Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft and tender.

1. Blend if desired:
Use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until it reaches a smooth consistency, perfect for younger babies. For older children or adults, you can leave it a bit chunkier if preferred.

2. Adjust the consistency:
 * If the porridge is too thick, you can add more water or broth to reach your desired consistency.

3. Serve:
Let it cool down before serving to babies in @littlebearnie self feeding bowl

Chinese Yam is mild and easy on the digestive system, making it great for babies. It also supports their immune system.
Carrot is rich in beta-carotene for eye health and offers a mild sweetness that babies typically enjoy.
Quinoa adds protein, fiber, and essential amino acids, making it a great base for a baby’s growth.
Lilo Premium Mushroom Powder gives an immune-boosting kick with mushrooms like reishi and maitake.
White bait: Protein, omega-3, calcium
